Congratulations! Amazing news! Also I definitely think there's something uniquely stressful about something you've actually volunteered yourself to do.
Thank you! Still in shock haha; I was SURE I failed. Yes, it's a weird form of stress because you did it to yourself, so you can't even really complain as much.
🍾Mazel tov, Emily! You’re a constant inspiration. So many lol moments in this post like: “I had heard the word “patineta” many times before, but I could not for the life of me remember what it meant³. Whatever it was, it definitely wasn’t going to be part of my answer, because then she might as me a follow-up question. I said something or other about public transportation then woke up in a cold sweat later that night realizing I had said even “public transportation” incorrectly.” Too funny. I’ve been trying to brush up on French via Duolingo and it’s not going bien. I will look at the resources you suggested and maybe there is a French equivalent. Love that you really committed to language learning. Hope you’re having a fiesta (that’s the extent of my Spanish) to celebrate 🎉!
Thank you, Hilary! That's so nice. "and it's not going bien" is the maybe most relatable thing I've ever read haha. Yes, there are so many great podcasts and YouTube channels for language learning! I kind of tried out random channels and podcasts until I found ones I liked, and I'm sure you can find ones that click for you in French, too. Reading also helped a lot (starting with very simple books and/or articles and moving up from there.) AGAIN DON'T TAKE ADVICE FROM ME THOUGH; I BARELY PASSED. (still fiesta-ed over the news, though)
Next up, my victory over actual applicable life skills, which is not my strong suit! That is hilarious, oh my gosh. Wait, how did your exam go? Because I'm picturing a comic where there's a speech bubble over your head with one single word in it, in the wrong language.
I feel the same way about mine; I think there might have been a mistake in the grading haha. I don't know how you've made it this long without knowing such a critical vocabulary word in Spanish!

Way to put yourself out there and try! Congratulations!
Thank you so much!
